Each purse is named after a work of fiction.  We got a little sick of bags with women's names, so the brainstorming began.  We were thinking different kinds of cake next, because who doesn't like cake.  But then we thought we'd run out of names too quickly.  What's the next best thing to dessert we asked . . . books.  Now we haven't read all the books whose titles we borrow but we're working on it, meanwhile we just try to pick names that tickle us.

Each purse is painstakingly made by hand.  We check all the seams thoroughly to make sure that they are super strong. Each yarn used is of the highest quality; they are strong and the dyes hold fast.  The lining material is always durable cotton fabric.  As knitted items can be damaged if they are hooked on anything, so can our purses, but these problems can generally be fixed easily.  If they become dirty they can be spot cleaned using cold water and mild soap, and laid flat to dry. Try to avoid wetting the wooden handles or knitting needles.

Our unique handbags are sold on our online shop. Payment is handled securely by our custom PayPal payment page. You will receive a confirmation email once the order has been successfully processed, and another when it ships.  We can also make handbags to your exact specifications.  For details, see custom designs.

If your billing address is in California, you will be charged the state sales tax of 9.25%.

All purchases made on prettypomme.com are processed securely through PayPal.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  If you have a PayPal account, you can also pay by bank transfer or from your PayPal balance.  You are not required to have a PayPal account to complete your purchase.  For more information about PayPal's policies please refer to their Security Center.

Orders will be shipped within 2-3 days of the purchase date. All orders are sent using USPS Priority mail which usually arrives in 2-3 business days within the U.S.  Please allow additional time for all international orders.

We work very hard to represent our production as accurately as possible in order to make you comfortable with your purchase. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns unless your purchase arrives damaged. However, we only want satisfied customers. Please report any problems you have with your purse, and we'll do our best to make things right.

Our purses are all handmade, so measurements are approximate.  If you are purchasing a limited edition purse, the yarn from bag to bag may differ slightly.  What distinguishes between handmade articles and mass produced ones are the little variances between them.  No two pretty pomme bags will ever be exactly alike, please look at this as a personal touch and not as a flaw.
